A2 is a 2001 Japanese documentary and followup to the 1998 documentary, A. Like its predecessor, A2 focuses on the Aum Shinrikyo religious sect. During the documentary the group's leader, Shoko Asahara is on trial for his role in the 1995 sarin gas attack in the Tokyo Subway. The group changes its name to "Aleph" but this does little to quell the public's mounting hatred for them.
