Guts of a Beauty (美女のはらわた Bijo no harawata), aka Entrails of a Beautiful Woman is a 1986 gore film written and directed by Gaira Komizu. This is the middle film in Gaira's "splatter eros" trilogy. Calling these films a hybrid between the horror and the softcore porn genres, the Weissers notice influences from contemporary U.S. "slasher" films, as well as from the work of the "Godfather of Gore", Herschell Gordon Lewis. They surmise that the creature in this film is possibly the first, if not only hermaphrodite monster in cinema.[1]
