Sisters Donburi: No Pulling Out (姉妹どんぶり 抜かずに中で Shimai donburi: Nukazuni nakade) aka Innocent Kiss (イノセント・キス) is a 1997 Pink film directed by Yumi Yoshiyuki and starring Kinako. It was named Second Best Film of the year at the Pink Taishō ceremony, where it was shown as part of the evening's program. Yoshiyuki was also named Best Director for this, the second film she had directed, and Yasumasa Konishi was given the Technical Award for cinematography.[2] Jasper Sharp judges it to be Yoshiyuki's best-known film.[3]

Plot summary[]

Yōko works at a movie theater as a ticket-collector. She is engaged to be married to her boyfriend, a salaryman, with whom she has lived since college. Yōko is also involved in a relationship with Takashi, who is seduced by Nana, Yōko's agressive younger sister. Her jealousy over Takashi's dalliance with Nana causes Yōko to reconsider her future marriage.[3]

Release history[]

Yumi Yoshiyuki filmed Sisters Donburi: No Pulling Out for Ōkura Eiga, who released it theatrically in Japan on January 17, 1997.[4] It was released on DVD on April 23, 2004 under the title Innocent Kiss (イノセント・キス).[5] The DVD includes an interview with Yoshiyuki.[6]
