The World Sinks Except Japan (日本以外全部沈没 Nihon Igai Zenbu Chinbotsu) is a 2006 Japanese film directed by Minoru Kawasaki. It is a spoof of the classic disaster film Japan Sinks.

Plot[]

In 2011, due to the shifting of Earth's tectonic plates, every country around the world except Japan starts sinking. First, the Pacific Plate destabilizes a little, causing Richter Scale 7-8-even 9 or higher earthquakes and massive tidal waves that devastate the U.S. West Coast (including Los Angeles, where, due to the 800 mile long San Andreas Fault completely rupturing (which causes a Richter Scale 9.5 to accumulate), millions of L.A.'s residents are killed in the quake, with millions more dying in the tsunami), the U.S. East Coast, and finally the rest of North America. Then, South America goes, then China, along with the rest of Eurasia, then Africa, and finally the Australian Continent, along with Antartica, sinks. Only Japan is left above water. But three years later, in 2014, Japan finally sinks, dividing the sad fate of humanity.
