Yumiko Kumashiro (神代弓子 Kumashiro Yumiko, Shizuoka, November 22, 1963 -)[1] aka Eve (イヴ) is a Japanese actress and AV idol.
Biography[]
Yumiko Kumashiro began her career in adult entertainment as a waitress at a No-Panty Cafe in Tokyo's Kabukicho neighborhood. Described in Shintōhō's biography as having a "pretty face, slender body, and naturally beautiful breasts," she was scouted to perform in AVs and film in 1984.[2] She starred in two of Nikkatsu's Roman Porno films. The first, her film debut, was Eve's Flower Petal (イヴちゃんの花びら Eve-chan no hanabira) released in July 1984. The Weissers write that this story of a young woman's awakening to her sexuality one summer is "a whimsically erotic tale". In their discussion of the film, the Weissers praise director Shun Nakahara's work.[3] Kumashiro's second film for Nikkatsu, Eve is Getting Wet (イヴの濡れてゆく Eve-chan no nurete yuku) (1985), is considered to be inferior to the previous movie. Condemned by the Weissers as "drivel," the film has Kumashiro playing the role of a mannequin who comes to life. Nikkatsu ended its "Eve" series after the second film.[3] After her work with Nikkatsu, Kumashiro went on to a successful career as a striptease dancer. In the 1990s she starred in films for Shintōhō studio.[2]
